Please don;t get the idea that I'm against self sufficiency, far from it. What bugs me most these days is the gulchers (I have my own sort of gulch going) who are not just prepping for TEOTWAKI or WTSHTF, but those who are actively wishing for it. I think we should all be prepared for all sorts of emergencies from tornadoes to civil insurrection. But that shouldn;t rule our lives and fail to let us find the joy in life.Michael Jarrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11482933886376216416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19124749.post-1167682870087956542007-01-01T15:21:00.000-05:002007-01-01T15:21:00.000-05:00Michael, your blog is wonderful! Dunno where my brain was on that.

Look for a link to UnCivil Defence on my blog (now at WordPress) shortly, and be advised, I've bookmarked several of your posts for possible inclusion on a Strike the Root edition. :-D

Keep up the great work. I disagree with you on some issues, particularly on the futility of working for self-sufficiency - but there's a great deal of common ground between us, and you've got some great original ideas.

And btw, I haven't forgotten how you pointed some good people (Claire Wolfe, Warren Bluhm) to one of my blog posts - wow, back in early 2005, when I was just getting started on Blogger. Thank you again for that.

Cheers,
TJAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19124749.post-1157977611413002702006-09-11T08:26:00.000-04:002006-09-11T08:26:00.000-04:00The only ture escape.....the sweet oblivion, the e...The only ture escape.....the sweet oblivion, the endless, dreamless sleep.

*now, to the Folger's jingle*
The best part of waking-up is going back to sleep
talala lala

You have a most well written blog, INDEED!https://www.blogger.com/profile/03037704048671379868noreply@blogger.com
