The so-called Lion of Liberalism has left the building at last. Thank the gods. The man that never met a gun control bill he didn't like, who worked so hard to help push "No Child Left Behind" and even had more of a hand in the current "health care" debacle about to be rammed down our throats. "Former" Klansman Robert Byrd would even like it to be renamed for Kennedy. Sickening. Kennedy, through 47 years of legislation, stole more freedom and did more damage to liberty, (as well as millions of individuals) and was, by any definition a world class tyranny enabler. He helped grow the government by leaps and bounds.
I got to meet Mr. Kennedy many years ago, along with his clan when they visited the PRC, while I lived there. He was affable enough and spent a considerable amount of time drinking and schmoozing. He got along quite well with the Chinese, as one would expect. One would never think that, beneath his boozy exterior lurked the soul of an enemy of the Bill of Rights. They'd be wrong. His legislative record speaks for itself. He may have occasionally come down on the right side of an issue, but it was a rare occurrence. Now we'll have to worry about that no more. Mr. Kennedy is off to his just reward.
The country is a safer place today without him. One down.
