The Day After
As for Bob Barr, maybe the LP will pull its head out of its nether regions and send you and your cronies packing now. You couldn't even beat Ralph Nader for crying out loud. Get lost, the cause of liberty is ill served by your ilk. You fooled people once, hopefully they'll choose a real libertarian next go round. Not that it really matters.

Doing The Math
The potential for either of the two major parties to "steal" the election is there, but the Democrats have seemingly pulled out all of the stops in registering people to vote this year. Could they be looking for "payback" for Florida and the "stolen" election of 2000? There does seem to be more than a bit of derangement coming from the Left this go around. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Regardless of who wins, we're going to lose. It's just a matter of how badly and how bad it will become because of the loss. I, for one will be casting my vote for "None Of The Above" from the safety of my home.
As for living in the aftermath of an election tainted by fraud. That's something I dislike to even contemplate. America is already seriously divided by politics and this will certainly make things worse, especially if the Left were to lose, (something increasingly unlikely). The disenfranchisement of the people continues.

I'm With Stupid
They all seem to think we need to get a smarter guy in the White House fast, and Bush is so stupid, that task shouldn't be too hard.
Not me.
I'd like to say that I believe every president in United States history, including the stupid one we have now, is smarter than me. My alma mater is Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Greatest Show on Earth Clown College, so I'm damning with faint praise, but I'm stupider than this here stupid president.
Maybe I'm less stupider than Bush than I'm stupider than Jefferson. But I'm stupider than all the stupid in both of them put together.
The idea, especially from the Democrats that I know, is, we just get a smarter guy in the White House, and all the problems will go away. We'll have smart speeches, smart high gas prices, smart bad economy, smart war on terrorism, smart war on drugs, smart hurricanes, smart global warming, smart war in Georgia -- smart, smart, smart.
But I don't think our next president being a great leader is a good thing.
I'm worried about someone smarter than Bush taking over that tremendous power. Charisma and ambition increase my fear exponentially, and a great leader scares me to death.
We need someone stupid enough to understand that the president of the United States can't solve many problems without taking away freedom and therefore shouldn't try. The only reason John McCain scares me a little less is because I think he's a little less likely to win. They both promise a government that will watch over us, and I don't like that.
I don't want anyone as president who promises to take care of me. I may be stupid, but I want a chance to try to be a grown-up and take care of my family. Freedom means the freedom to be stupid, and that's what I want. I don't want anyone to feel my pain or tell me to ask what we can do for our country, or give us all money and take care of us.
That's what most of us libertarians want. A chance to run our own lives without a big government helicopter parent getting in the way. We just want everyone to run their own lives, free of interference as adults ought to. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to get anyone, from any party who is liable to let us do this. None of them really believe that our lives belong to us. That's the peril of the system that politicians have created. Penn does sum it up well.
So remember, the only way to waste your vote is to vote!

Hard Truth
The Democrats and Republicans are in the process of ruining this country with their profligate spending and their current march towards a new fascist state. The front runners in the upcoming presidential contest are set to make matters worse than they currently are, (and that's pretty damned bad). Both of the Democrats are looking to raise taxes and increase spending to new and unheard of levels, creating a fascist state the likes of which hasn't been seen since the 1930's. In the process they will literally bankrupt the country and enslave our children and grandchildren to the debt that has been and will be created. The Republican will certainly do no better.
Unless people are made aware of Mr. Walkers words, (here and elsewhere), things shall continue as they are currently are and we will face an economic crisis of monumental proportions. The "Great Depression" will look like a minor blip by comparison. None of us will be able to prepare for what's likely to come, no matter how far back in the mountains you choose to run. There will be no escape from this looming economic catastrophe.
So, please take a minute. Watch. Listen. Learn. Act. Link to this video and spread the word, while there's still time.
